Online Therapy for New Moms in New York, Arizona, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Florida, Maine, and Vermont

I’m a licensed clinical social worker who helps postpartum and early-parenthood moms struggling with constant worry, mental overload, or postpartum anxiety learn practical coping tools to feel more confident and able to manage daily demands.

Many of the moms I work with are thoughtful, high-achieving women who notice how anxiety and people-pleasing patterns are showing up more intensely after becoming a parent. They are often concerned about how their own worry, stress, or emotional load could affect their children and want support learning healthier ways to cope and respond.

Many are helpers by nature and by profession, commonly working in healthcare, education, or other caregiving roles, or are partnered with someone in a high-stress or non-traditional schedule profession. Before becoming a parent, they were often able to meet everyone’s needs. After having a baby, that strategy no longer works, and they find themselves overwhelmed, depleted, or constantly feeling behind.

You might especially resonate with my work if you are:

Who This Work Is a Good Fit For

This work is a good fit for postpartum and early-parenthood moms who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, worry, or mental load and are looking for practical support to navigate daily life more steadily.

You may be a good fit for this work if you:

  • Feel anxious, on edge, or mentally overloaded most days

  • Notice that your usual coping strategies aren’t working the same way since becoming a parent

  • Want practical tools and skills to help manage worry, stress, and emotional reactivity

  • Are interested in understanding your patterns and learning new ways to respond—without needing therapy to feel overwhelming or overly abstract

  • Are functioning in daily life but feel depleted, stretched thin, or constantly “behind”

This approach works especially well for moms who want a balance of emotional support and concrete strategies they can use in real life, both at home and at work.

When This May Not Be the Best Fit

This may not be the best fit if you’re:

  • In need of crisis or emergency-level care, including if you are currently experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts, urges to harm yourself or others, or symptoms of active psychosis (including postpartum psychosis). In these situations, a higher level of care is needed to support your safety.

  • Seeking court-mandated therapy or treatment required for legal purposes.

  • Looking for insurance-based services outside of NYSHIP or Northwell Direct.

  • Hoping to attend therapy less frequently than weekly, as this work is designed to be most effective with consistent, weekly support—especially during the postpartum and early-parenthood period.

If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, a brief consultation can help clarify next steps and ensure you’re connected with appropriate support.

How I Work

I take a practical, collaborative approach to therapy, especially during pregnancy and early parenthood, when anxiety and overwhelm can feel consuming.

Early in our work, we often focus on tools and strategies to help anxiety and mental overload settle, so you can feel more grounded and supported in daily life. As things stabilize, we may explore deeper patterns, identity shifts, and how to move forward feeling more like yourself in this new chapter of motherhood.

Sessions are structured to help you understand what’s happening, build skills that fit your real life, and make meaningful changes at a pace that feels manageable. We usually end sessions with something small to practice or reflect on between sessions, so what we talk about in therapy can translate into everyday life.

Why Clients (and Referrers) Often Choose Me

Clients and referral partners often choose to work with me because I offer clear, practical support for anxiety during pregnancy and early parenthood, without losing sight of the emotional and identity shifts that come with becoming a parent.

People often appreciate that I:

  • Specialize specifically in postpartum and early-parenthood anxiety, rather than working broadly with all concerns

  • Take a practical, skills-based approach that helps anxiety and overwhelm settle, while still making space for emotions and deeper patterns

  • Am clear about who this work is and isn’t a good fit for, which helps clients feel safer and more confident getting started

  • Work especially well with high-functioning, high-responsibility moms (including healthcare workers, educators, and first-responder families) who are overwhelmed but still managing daily life

  • Offer therapy that is active and collaborative, with ideas to try between sessions rather than unstructured venting alone

Referrers often reach out when they are looking for a therapist who can support moms experiencing anxiety, worry, or mental overload in a way that is grounded, ethical, and focused on real-world functioning during a demanding season of life.
