Hi, I’m Katy
I’m a therapist who specializes in working with moms during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.
Most of the women who find me are smart, capable, loving moms who never expected motherhood to feel this hard. They come to me because they’re struggling with postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, intrusive thoughts, birth trauma, or the emotional weight of becoming a new version of themselves.
They love their babies.
And they don’t feel like themselves anymore.
I’ve worked with new moms and parents of medically complex children for over 20 years, and I’m also a mom myself. I understand firsthand how overwhelming the “fourth trimester” can be, and how much the first year of motherhood can shake your sense of identity, confidence, and stability.
Becoming a mom changes everything.
Your body.
Your relationships.
Your priorities.
Your sense of self.
And yet, most moms are expected to quietly figure it all out while running on no sleep and carrying the emotional weight of loving someone more than they ever have before.
I don’t believe you’re meant to do this alone.
I specialize in perinatal mental health and am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International. I also have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which gives us practical tools to help calm anxiety, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and support your nervous system during this demanding season.
What matters most is that I know how to help moms who feel overwhelmed, on edge, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode feel steady again.
My approach is warm, grounded, and deeply supportive. Therapy with me is a place where you can be honest about how hard this really is — without being told to “just be grateful” or “enjoy every moment.”
You deserve real support.
Outside of my work, I’m a wife and a mom to a teenage son. We love spending time together playing Dungeons & Dragons and re-watching our favorite Middle Earth movies. I’m also a bit of a perfume collector, so if you are curious about using scent as a way to help with anxiety or boost your mood, I’m happy to explore that!
